Picnic Hamper Experience

Now is the perfect time to enjoy being outdoors and experience our magnificent region.  The weather is ideal for enjoying a picnic in one of many beautiful locations; and we can now offer a choice of two picnic hampers.  

Packed with seasonal produce prepared in our restaurant kitchen, plus a bottle of wine, why not indulge yourself!

Choose from the following two options:

The Cheese Platter:- includes two cheeses (one hard + one soft), nuts, quince paste, Muscatels and crackers + either a bottle of wine from our Rutherglen Estate range (Pinot Grigio, Rose, Fiano, Tempranillo, Sangiovese or Durif), Prosecco or Moscato.  

The Produce Platter:- includes the cheese platter items listed above plus the following; handmade condiments (changes seasonally), olives, cornichons, figs, a selection of cold meats, toasted bread with a drizzle of olive oil and crackers + either a bottle of wine from our Rutherglen Estate range (as listed above), Prosecco or Moscato.  

Pick up your hamper to enjoy under a shady tree, on the banks of the Murray River or even on the deck of your room overlooking our magnificent vineyard.

All hampers are packed into a De Bortoli picnic basket with all you will need to relax and enjoy a picnic at your chosen destination. Ice-packs are included for medium term transport. We recommended that they are consumed within two hours of pick up unless they are refrigerated.  

Items may change depending on the season. 

Vegetarian & gluten free options are available. We are happy to tailor your hamper to suit your dietary requirements. 

Included in your hamper:

• Picnic basket including all cutlery, napkins & crockery needs

• Picnic blanket (if desired)

• Ice packs to keep the produce cold (to cater for short term transport) 

• Bottle of wine of your choice, wine cooler + 2 wine glasses

** Each picnic hamper will be temperature checked on collection.  We strongly recommend the contents be consumed while still cold and at a safe temperature.  

Pick up from 11am - 4pm.

Conditions of Hire

• Picnics must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance. 

• Picnic hampers cannot be consumed in our Restaurant, Cellar Door or Courtyard area, but maybe enjoyed in our garden overlooking the vineyard.

• A $200 bond will be processed on pick up and refunded when all non perishable items have been returned to reception.

• All picnic items must be returned by 10am on the following day
